This Magazine
For our Sept/Oct issue, we unveiled the magazine’s brand new look—now on newsstands. The result is a more fun and playful This Magazine, with better use of colour, graphics and typography, as well as a complete overhaul of the magazine’s cover. Readers can still expect the same fiesty content—in fact, we’ve added more awesome stuff. Pick up your copy today (or better yet, subscribe) to find out why we’re so excited about the possibilities.
In addition to the new look, we’ve also launched This Magazine’s first annual Corporate Hall of Shame. After months of research and ranking, This Magazine has compiled a list of 50 Canadian companies who’ve been up to no-good—spanning sectors from mining to retail to food and farming, and beyond. Too often bad deeds—such as environmental disasters, shifty labour practices, and wonky ethics—are ignored. Well, that’s about to change. Our inaugural Hall of Shame is about holding corporations to account and about digging that hook in real deep and not letting go, watching and observing and saying “we know you did that.”
So, come celebrate with us! The magazine will be launching the issue at a party on Wednesday September 19th at No One Writes to the Colonel (460 College Street, Toronto) starting at 8:00 p.m. Stop in and say hi. We’d love to see you there.
