Dan Savage must be a regular viewer of The Colbert Report. In his latest sex column, Savage warns Canada’s Conservatives that they are “on notice” — a favourite warning of TV’s Stephen Colbert. The reason for the warning? Savage wants to stick a Canadian politician with the honour of being “santorumized,” or having his or her name become synonymous with a previously unnamed sexual term. Santorum, as you may recall, is that frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex, and got its name from rabidly anti-gay U.S. Senator Rick Santorum.
Savage is asking his Canadian readers to keep an eye on the Cons, and to notify him the next time one of them says something “appallingly anti-gay, anti-sex, and anti-Canadian.” I guess Savage should be expecting an email to [email protected] by, what, next month or so?
