Couple of questions:
1. Just where, in all the great writings of Christendom, does it say that marriage is the union of a man and a woman? Is it in the bible? Did the Pope ever Bull about it? Did Luther? Brigham Young? Tommy Douglas?
2. Apart from practicalities (one is provincial, one is federal), what is the difference between a “civil union” and a “marriage”? Can anyone with legal training out there please advise — the papers don’t seem interested in explaining this to Canadians.
